Riksja Travel introduces the Rickshaw Travel Compass at Holiday Festival

During the Holiday Festival, which will take place from 5 to 7 February 2026 in the Brabanthallen in ‘s-Hertogenbosch, Riksja Travel will present the Rickshaw Travel Compass. With this interactive tool, visitors discover which destinations suit them best on the basis of a number of questions. A Rickshaw Travel Cheque worth 1,500 euros will be raffled among the participants.

The Rickshaw Travel Compass has been developed for travelers who would like to travel, but are still unsure about where or how. By asking questions about interests, travel style and wishes, visitors gain insight into which destinations suit them. In addition, visitors can taste something based on their results, a unique way to literally experience what kind of traveler you are. Destination experts from Riksja Travel will be present to explain the outcome and to think further about the travel plans.

Riksja Travel is a travel organization that focuses on individual tailor-made tours, both within and outside Europe. The organization develops its own routes and experiences in collaboration with local partners. Well-known highlights are combined with less-visited places, often in the middle of nature and with a lot of contact with the locals. The trips are designed in such a way that local communities also benefit.

Characteristic of Riksja Travel are the small-scale, handpicked hotels, often in special locations. Responsible travel plays an important role in this: trips are designed in such a way that they make a positive contribution to people and the environment.
According to Fenny Koppen of Riksja Travel, this is an important part of their approach: ‘For us, traveling is not only about discovering, but also about contributing to the place where you are. We are always looking for ways to respect and support nature and local communities, so that a trip has a really positive effect.’

According to Frits Kuijper, creative director of the Vakantie Festival, Riksja Travel brings an energetic and accessible travel philosophy to the event. ‘They show that adventure doesn’t have to be complicated. The way in which Riksja Travel makes travel personal and personal appeals directly to visitors and invites them to discover for themselves.’

T.J. van Apeldoorn, strategic director of the Holiday Festival, also sees the participation of Riksja Travel as an important addition to the festival. ‘With Riksja Travel, we welcome a party that fits perfectly with our vision. Their approach underlines our ambition to offer a broad and inspiring platform where visitors can go for trips that go beyond standard solutions.’

The Holiday Festival will take place from 5 to 7 February 2026 and brings together destinations, travel companies and travel lifestyle brands in an inspiring festival atmosphere full of experience, advice and entertainment.
