From 5 to 7 February 2026, the Brabanthallen in ‘s-Hertogenbosch will be the setting for the very first edition of the Holiday Festival: the new travel lifestyle event in the Netherlands where destinations, travel organizations and travel brands come together in an inspiring mix of experience, advice and entertainment.
During this edition, BOHO Bohemian Boutique Hotel and Boutique Hotel ‘t Klooster, as part of the Curaçao Tourist Board, will be present to introduce visitors to a very specific side of Curaçao: the small-scale, cozy boutique experience in the bustling Pietermaai District in Willemstad.
Boutique hotels in the heart of Pietermaai District, Willemstad
BOHO and ‘t Klooster are located in Pietermaai District, one of the most beloved and lively districts of Willemstad and part of the UNESCO World Heritage area. This colorful neighborhood is known for its intimate streets, historic buildings and creative atmosphere. Within walking distance, guests will find more than 30 restaurants, cozy cafes, concept stores, beach clubs, live music and cultural hotspots. Pietermaai effortlessly combines Caribbean relaxation with urban energy, making it an ideal base for travelers who want to truly experience Curaçao. BOHO and ‘t Klooster each offer their own style, but share the same philosophy: personal attention, a homely atmosphere and a boutique experience on a small scale, in the middle of a neighborhood that lives day and night.
From festival floor to Caribbean experience
During the Holiday Festival, visitors can get acquainted with the unique atmosphere of Pietermaai and discover why more and more travelers are opting for a boutique hotel instead of large-scale resorts. From attractive rooms and courtyards to tips on the best restaurants and hidden places in the neighborhood: BOHO and ‘t Klooster take visitors into the daily rhythm of Curaçao. “At BOHO and Boutique Hotel ‘t Klooster, we believe that a hotel is more than just a place to sleep. Our small-scale boutique hotels are located in the middle of the bustling Pietermaai District, where you can feel the energy of Curaçao, but also find the peace and personal attention that makes a boutique stay so special.”
A valuable addition to the Holiday Festival
According to Frits Kuijper, creative director of the Holiday Festival, the participation of BOHO and ‘t Klooster fits perfectly with the vision of the event: “The boutique hotels BOHO and ‘t Klooster show that travel is all about atmosphere, experience and personal stories. Their location in the historic Pietermaai District fits in seamlessly with the wishes of our visitors, who are increasingly looking for authentic and small-scale accommodations.” T.J. van Apeldoorn, strategic director of the Holiday Festival, also emphasizes the added value of this participation: “With BOHO and ‘t Klooster we are not only adding a destination, but a complete neighborhood experience. It is precisely this kind of unique, characterful accommodation that distinguishes the Holiday Festival.”
