From 5 to 7 February 2026, the Brabanthallen in ‘s-Hertogenbosch will be the vibrant backdrop for the very first edition of the Holiday Festival, the new travel lifestyle event where destinations, travel organizations and travel lifestyle brands come together in an atmospheric mix of experience, advice and entertainment. As part of the VvKR, Link.Active presents itself with a special goal: adventurous group trips to Slovenia especially for young adults who miss the connection in the regular offer. Link.Active offers the perfect balance between action, nature and personal attention.
More than just a trip: connection in Slovenia
Where the regular travel offer is often too massive and specialized care trips are not suitable, Link.Active comes in. The organization focuses on small-scale trips where group dynamics and safety are central.
The program in Slovenia consists of a mix of challenging activities such as rafting, canyoning and discovering the amazing nature. In addition, there is room for your own input. Participants determine part of the content on the spot together with the group, facilitated by involved supervisors. These guides are not only there for the route, but for the good conversation, the necessary boost or a listening ear when things get difficult.
Being yourself
safely”Many young people fall between two stools. You don’t want to go with your parents anymore, but a standard youth trip often feels unsafe or too busy,” says Juul Sam of Link.Active. “During the Holiday Festival, we show that adventure is for everyone. For us, it’s not about performing, but about exploring your limits together. We create an environment in which you can be yourself and where real connections are created. It is wonderful to see how participants spend the entire holiday together.”
A socially relevant addition
According to Frits Kuijper, creative director of the Vakantie Festival, Link.Active brings a fresh dynamic to the festival floor. “They give adventure a human and inclusive face. Their approach is empathetic, tough and accessible. This fits in perfectly with visitors who are not only looking for a destination, but for a place where they feel at home.”
T.J. van Apeldoorn, strategic director of the Vakantie Festival, emphasizes the value of this target group within the festival. “With Link.Active we show that travel is also a remedy for loneliness. Their participatory way of travelling, in which young people are given control, enriches our platform and fits in with the festival’s broad ambition to make travel accessible to everyone, regardless of your social challenges.”
