From 5 to 7 February 2026, the Brabanthallen in ‘s-Hertogenbosch will be the setting for the very first edition of the Holiday Festival, the new travel lifestyle event in the Netherlands where destinations, travel organizations and brands come together in an inspiring mix of experience, advice and entertainment.
As part of the VvKR, MAVI Travel presents itself to the public as the specialist in Blue Cruises along the Turkish coast: luxury sailing trips where small scale, comfort and authentic experience are central. Aboard traditional wooden gulets, travelers discover the Turkey of turquoise bays, hidden anchorages, and atmospheric coastal villages.
Journeys that combine depth and warmth
MAVI Travel specializes in sailing Blue Cruises where the journey itself is just as special as the destination. Instead of mass tourism, MAVI Travel offers intimate, personal boat trips along the Turkish coast and Greek islands, with a focus on peace, nature and local culture.
From secluded bays and historic harbour towns to lively markets and archaeological sites, guests discover Turkey from the water, at a relaxed pace, away from the beaten track.
“Turkey is a country that touches you as soon as you take the time to look further,” says Ingeborg Oostlander-Cetin of Mavi Travel. “At the Holiday Festival, we want to take visitors into the warmth, hospitality and stories that make Turkey so unique. Our trips are all about connection, small scale and authentic experiences that really stay with you.”
A valuable and characterful addition to the festival
According to Frits Kuijper, creative director of the Vakantie Festival, Mavi Travel brings a unique depth and warmth to the event. “They breathe the Turkey you long for as a traveler: personal, colorful and sincere. At Mavi Travel, visitors immediately feel that they work with love, knowledge and attention here.”
T.J. van Apeldoorn, strategic director of the Vakantie Festival, emphasizes how well their participation fits in with the vision of the festival. “Mavi Travel shows how special small-scale specialists are. Their involvement, local anchoring and respect for culture fit perfectly within our pursuit of a broad, inspiring platform in which every form of travel has a place.”
