The Vakantie Festival in ‘s-Hertogenbosch will have a tropical touch: Curaçao has confirmed as a participating destination for the first edition of the event in 2026. The island is one of the first international destinations to officially commit to the festival.
Susan Vrolijk, Regional Manager Europe of the Curaçao Tourist Board, explains the choice: “The Vakantie Festival fits perfectly with the way we as a destination want to get in touch with Dutch travelers. We believe in the power of experience, and this event offers us a unique opportunity to present Curaçao in a personal and inspiring way. We look forward to giving visitors a literal taste of the island.’
With its mix of beaches, culture, culinary surprises and friendly atmosphere, Curaçao is a popular choice among Dutch holidaymakers. At the festival, the destination wants to focus on interaction and inspiration.
T.J. van Apeldoorn and Frits Kuijper, founders of the Vakantie Festival, are delighted with the participation: “Curaçao has been a crowd favorite among Dutch travelers for years. The fact that they are now also present at the Vakantie Festival is a nice confirmation of the broad support for this new initiative. The enthusiasm among tourism partners is growing by the day. Curaçao not only brings sun and color to the festival, but also quality and appeal. It is exactly such a destination that visitors like to talk to. We are proud that they are there.’
The Vakantie Festival will take place in the spring of 2026 in the Brabanthallen in ‘s-Hertogenbosch. More participating parties will be announced soon. Would you like to receive more information about the Vakantie Festival? Click here: https://vakantiefestival.com/info/
